Colorado Tribute Bands

On March 7th, Westword published 10 of Denver’s Best Tribute Bands.  Okay, I get that they said “10 OF…” <whew> cuz if they said Denver’s 10 Best that would be silly – right?

I criticized their selections in a FB rant that drew numerous comments and a share or two.  Basically, I took issue that they did not identify what many of us already know as a few of the TOP such bands – My Blue Sky (Allman Bros Band). Hey, Lady! (B52s) or Under A Blood Red Sky (U2) to name three.

Here’s a working list of over 100 regional tribute bands broken down by “tribute.”  It’s a working list – so still in process.  If you know of some that are not here, let me know .. if you know of some that are no longer viable let me know.  Also let me know who’s your favorite.

Much love,

goat

PS … there’s also an ongoing discussion about the nature of “tribute” vs bands that cover a single artist/band (or two) but do so with more or fewer members than the original band(s).

  1. OMG — 101 – truly wonderful that all those musicians find some work. I’m thinking of doing a parody of Weird Al — what would we call it Fool’s Paradise ?
