MONDAY JULY 03 – HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY. Or, in my case, HAPPY RETIREMENT DAY (weekend). I’m on the road for the July 4th weekend, so the charts will be late. I’ll get them done this week.
I started my radio career in Greeley in Aug 1978 on KFKA/KFKZ (Greeley). On Friday, June 30, I officially performed my last and final on air shift at 105.5 The Colorado Sound, KJAC (Greeley) – the Colorado Playlist will continue to be heard at 6AM Saturday and 6PM Sunday.
The Colorado Playlist began life as the Colorado Sound in April 2006 on KRFC (Fort Collins). I’ve got a few years left before the show hits its 20th Anniversary, at which time I’ll likely turn over the mic to someone who can keep it going another twenty years (hopeful).
