There are days when I WISH for something insightful to write. I usually write this post on Sunday, but Sunday got jacked. Maybe it’s just the week after birthday let down. Hmmmm.
One item of interest, for those inclined … “Oskar Blues is stoked to be partnering withBolderBOULDER for our first ever “Battle of the Bands” competition. If you know a band that would be an ideal fit for this type of event please read the specifications below and send an email to race@bolderboulder.com by 5:00pm on Monday.” That doesn’t leave you much time, sorry to say. (disclaimer I will likely be doing sound for these events).
- Preliminaries take place on either Feb. 18th or 25th. Two finalists will be selected to play in the finals on Saturday, Feb. 28th at Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons, CO.
- The winning band gets $2,000, a paid gig at HMLS patio on Friday, May 22nd and will also be featured on the OB main stage at the BolderBOULDER on Monday, May 25th(band must have availability on both dates.)
- Second place winners will receive $500 in cash.
- A track from the winning band will also be featured the KBCO BolderBOULDER Bootleg CD vol. 11 and included in the downloadable tracks available on KBCO.com
