What’s Your Favorite New COLORADO Release of 2013?

Goat_Logo_color_on_whiteHere’s something fun to do for the next few days.  What Colorado albums or eps released in 2013 have really found their way into your regular listening times?  What if you could pick your top 3?  What would they be?  There are about 40 titles listed below.. by no means is it an exhaustive list.   There is a space for a write in.  You can pick three total.  Titles that came out prior to November 1, 2012 do not count.  You can  add comments to this post if you’d like.  It would be fun to see where you’re at right now … what some of your favorite new releases so far in 2013… I will probably use this information to do a mid-year “best of” show in the next week or two.  Share it with your friends, family, and fans 🙂

A special project note from one of our favorites

So I’m working on notes for the show this week and pulled up an email that Megan Burtt sent out a few days back … and thought I should share part of this one with you …

from Megan

Megan Burtt snapMany of you may have followed the project I started a yearish ago called “In Good Company” where I get with a friend around the country in my travels, we write a song, learn each others and play at stageit.com show for you that evening to show off our creation. After 12 writes, we’d make an album. Well, I wanted to do a special Colorado volume to honor my roots, and that’s exactly what’s happening! This month I’m co-writing with Colorado artists and bands I absolutely adore, and will be making a special collaboration album “In Good Company Megan Burtt & Friends, Volume 1: Colorado Sessions“. No stageit.com shows, we’re just focusing on writing and recording with a quick turn around to release this by the end of the summer. Some of the artists you can look forward to: Rachel James (Rachel and the Kings), Hazel Miller, The Congress, Chris Daniels, Joel Van Horne/Covenhoven (formerly Carbon Choir), The Epilogues, and more! So pumped for this!

So am I Megan 🙂  Can’t wait for this one to come out.

Need 2 bands to play tornado fundraiser + donations

I am helping out with a fundraiser for victims of the recent tornado in Oklahoma. The event is set up to help 2 smaller towns that got hit by the tornado. Moore is getting a lot of the news and the help but I guess these other 2 towns are not getting hardly any help at all. So folks are working on taking a truck down there now and another one again after the fundraiser. We are asking for both monetary and mostly the personal thing they need the most right now.

We 2 more bands to play at the fundraiser. The following is what bands are playing and when they are playing. It does not include Moby yet as planners are waiting to hear from him. He has already said he wants to play… they’re all just working out details.
