The Colorado Sound Live365 – The Most Heard, An Overview

As of Aug 14, these are the most heard cuts on The Colorado Sound Live365.  As best as I can tell this list is derived by the number of times a track is “heard.”  Based on the titles, and by looking at the number of times something is heard, I can conclude that late mornings and afternoons are the most commonly listened to times of the day.  I do not control the rotation of titles as I do on my weekly radio program … it’s pretty arbitrary.  It all depends on when you’re listening.

The station is programmed with a very broad mix of classic cuts along with newer titles from the past year.  The (date) is the last time the title was added to the playlist.  The playlist contains approximately 245 titles, and is heavily day-parted.

Metal, punk, rap and edgier new material is programmed at night from 6pm-12am.  Mornings 6am-12pm are heavier in classic material going back to the 60s.  Mid-days are programmed with less classic material, with a more 21st century appeal.

The playlist is, generally, updated monthly.  See previous post for list of adds and drops this month.

This is what the ears are hearing, for those who have been listening 😉

The Colorado Sound – LIVE365 UPDATE AUG 2014

Chris emcee 2013Finally got a break to work on the playlist at The Colorado Sound Live365.  A crazy weekend is about to commence.  Don’t forget to download the Live365 app .. attach to in-car bluetooth device, and listen on the go.  House guests arriving today from Colorado Springs for the weekend … not that I’ll see much of them LOL.  I’ll be at the Mountain Ave stage for Bohemian Nights at New West Fest all weekend.  Hope I’ll see you in the audience 🙂

I keep a pretty full playlist going at the station, so for every title I add I have to drop one.  There’s only so much room to rotate songs.  Don’t forget to rate the songs so I’ll be able to judge what’s getting the love <3.

subdudes to appear in Colorado despite death of original member

A successful reunion show this past March rekindled a fire that hadn’t been present since the mid 90s, when Coloradans John Magnie and Steve Amedee rejoined Tommy Malone and Johnny Ray Allen, as the original founding members of the subdudes.  This weekend, fans where heartbroken to learn that Johnny Ray Allen passed away on Friday morning at his home in New Orleans.  No cause of death was listed.   An autopsy was scheduled for Monday, August 11.

I spoke with John Magnie Monday night and he confirmed that the remaining members of the band will perform at upcoming shows in Colorado, including Bohemian Nights at New West Fest.  Former tour manager and bassist/vocalist Tim Cook will rejoin the band for their in-state appearances.  Only their scheduled Thursday night appearance in Fruita was canceled.

Friday 08-15 Louisville, Colo. Louisville Downtown Street Faire
Saturday 08-16 Fort Collins, Colo. Bohemian Nights at New West Fest
