Monday morning. A recap. Last week’s MMMM (Monday Morning Music Meeting) was among the most voted in I’ve seen this year so far. Ginny Mules won big, including not only shear number of votes, but also in its 100% KEEP IT rating, when applied to the total number of votes received. When fans rally, it’s an indication of fan favor = popularity = something we all strive for. Popularity, I’ve learned is organic; it happens, or it doesn’t.
Despite the overall popularity of Flobots over the past decade, their new single “Pray” is off to a shaky start, barely managing to break a 50/50 KEEP IT or DELETE IT tie. Their new album is due out this spring, but I should have more to share in advance in March.
Coming NEXT WEEK / EP08 … the DEBUT of the new Rose Hill Drive album Mania. After years of speculation that the band had disbanded for good, the trio of two brothers and their best friend that began as children, reemerges not far removed from where they left off, with a guitar fueled, Led Zepplin influenced, hard rock groove sure to put them back at the top of the deck as one of the region’s most popular rock bands – exactly where they left off seven years ago now. Expect sold out shows and plenty of outdoor festival appearances in 2017.
Also new NEXT WEEK / EP08 = Tiffany Christopher, Shady Elders, Otis Taylor, Deep Pocket Thieves and Bonfire Dub.
