To my fellow Colorado musicians .. NPR has announced their 2019 NPR Music Tiny Desk Contest. It’s a great opportunity for unknown bands and musicians across the country to film themselves performing one song at a desk of their choice.
The winner will play NPR’s famous Tiny Desk in Washington, D.C. before embarking on a U.S. tour of concerts hosted by NPR Music in partnership with Member stations throughout the country.
This year, for the first time ever, the Contest is open to musicians ages 18 and older (in previous years the Contest was open to musicians ages 21 and older). In addition, NPR is partnering with Blue Microphones, the exclusive sponsor for the 2019 Contest and tour. Blue Microphones is an audio production company that designs and produces microphones, headphones, recording tools, signal processors, and music accessories for audio professionals, musicians, and consumers.
