Head for the Hills | Pickin’ on the Poudre – Mishawaka Amphitheatre | May 17th, 2014

Head for the Hills will perform at the Mishawaka Amphitheatre in Bellvue, CO on May 17th as part of their annual gathering, “Pickin’ on the Poudre.” This will be the 10th consecutive year the quartet has opened the concert season at the historic mountain venue. Grant Farm with special guest Benny “Burle” Galloway and Gispy Moon will support the evening, presented by The Colorado Sound. Head for the Hills has confirmed several festival and event appearances this summer in support of their studio album “Blue Ruin,” including:Summer Camp Music Festival (Chillicothe, IL) and Revival Festival at Harmony Park, (Clarks Grove, MN), Botanic Gardens for a co-bill with Steep Canyon Rangers (Denver, CO) and many more.

The 2014 Westword Music Awards Nominees

We don’t have a Colorado Music Awards show on the same level as some of the older “deeper” more known markets like L.A., or Austin, etc. The closest we have is the Westword Music Awards, which is much more like the People’s Choice Awards, with a dash of industry peer program like the Grammy Awards etc. Basically – the PEOPLE vote for the winners, that the “industry” nominated.

Westword just announced this year’s nominees … some very good friends made the list this year. Congratulations to all who earned a nomination.
