CP S14 EP12 2020

Monday March 30, 2020 – The Colorado Playlist is fully dependent on financial support from its sponsors as well as donations from listeners.  While we’re all experiencing a major loss of income and revenue, small businesses need a platform to inform listeners that you’re still open for business. In light of current economic concerns, I’d be very happy to discuss your messaging needs and how the Colorado Playlist can help.  Email me at coloradoplaylist@gmail.com

FACEBOOK LIVE WATCH PARTY – In the absence of live music events currently, there has been a deluge of Facebook Live events featuring solo artists as well as duos and trios made up of people who live together.  I try to keep up and share them with you at the CP Facebook page.

Rocky Mountain Music Relief Inc – a Colorado 501C3 non-profit with a mission to provide financial and in-kind support to those individuals, groups and organizations within our Colorado music industry that have been impacted physically, financially and/or emotionally due to the occurrence of natural disasters or unforeseen tragedies within their communities.

At Bohemian Foundation, our focus is on building community …by coming together to create and enjoy music.

CP S14 EP11 2020

Monday March 23, 2020If there’s one thing you cannot get a musician to do it’s put down their instruments.  If there is no formal stage to perform on, we will build one.  And we figure if we build it, they will come (to steal an oft used phrase from a famous movie).

Well, that’s exactly what’s been happening.  Live streaming concerts – solo living room concerts to full stage full band productions have been streamed almost constantly the past several days. With that in mind: I’m producing a supplemental hr of the  show highlighting bands that will be live streaming March 30-April 4.

A couple of years back I founded Rocky Mountain Music Relief Inc – a Colorado 501C3 non-profit with a mission to provide financial and in-kind support to those individuals, groups and organizations within the music industry that have been impacted physically, financially and/or emotionally due to the occurrence of natural disasters or unforeseen tragedies within their communities. We are currently teaming up with other organizations like ours to help out as best we can.

We appreciate all the donations we’ve received.  The board of directors is working on ways to share those donations with our community.

The Colorado Playlist is fully dependent on financial support from my sponsors.  What I have to offer is a way to reach thousands of people every week around the state, via messaging on the Colorado Playlist. I’d be very happy to discuss your messaging needs.  Email me at coloradoplaylist@gmail.com

The NOCO HEMP EXPO scheduled for March 27-28 has been rescheduled for August 6-8.  Thanks to them for their financial support.  I’m looking forward to emceeing their Northern Colorado “super-star” show, alongside Denver rock radio legend Uncle Nasty.  See you there in August.

At Bohemian Foundation, our focus is on building community …by coming together to create and enjoy music.

Humor, they say, is a terrific stress reliever – so much so it seems, that I’ve only watched rom-coms and comedy movies and tv shows lately.  This lyric video is just what the doctor ordered – so to speak.

CP S14 EP10 2020

Monday March 16 2020 – We are living in some crazy times.  Nearly every person I know personally is somehow connected to the business surrounding music.  For many of us, it’s our direct livelihood.

As we all know by now, nearly every major event – music, theater and sports – has either been canceled or postponed to a later date.  For now, no one knows when things will return to normal.

While we cannot know or count ALL of the misplaced shows, the folks at 105.5 The Colorado Sound (where I work, and where this show is aired) have put together a guide to help.

Over the weekend, Kerry Pastine & the Crime Scene, as well as Bonnie & The Cyldes Bonnie & Taylor Sims held FaceBook live shows from their respective homes.  The Crime Scene reported over 4600 streams.  Pretty damn impressive.  Let’s keep these shows going.

At the bottom of this page today, following THIS WEEK ON YOUTUBE, there is a note about how we can all help a little …

One non-music (well, almost non-music) event to let you know about.

The Colorado Playlist is fully dependent on financial support from my sponsors … if you’re a music related business and you’d like to sponsor the show, email me at coloradoplaylist@gmail.com

ROCKY MOUNTAIN MUSIC RELIEF

A couple of years ago some friends and I launched Rocky Mountain Music Relief, a non-profit dedicated to helping musicians in our area due to natural disasters. I’d like to activate it in order to help out during this time of need in our community. I’m not sure I know what that looks like to be honest.

Our health and well being are paramount, and that includes the need for medical care, food and adequate housing.  While we work on how best to activate our mission to serve our local musicians in need during this natural disaster, please donate.

Also, I’ve noticed some musicians doing live sets via Facebook Live and other means. Let’s do our best to support these efforts. I have many friends whose national and international tours have been either canceled or postponed. I have many more friends who survive at least partially on local gigs – that are now cancelled.

SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC ONLINE TODAY. SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR YOUR FAVORITE MUSICIANS FROM COLORADO BY VIEWING THEIR FACEBOOK LIVE SHOWS. PLEASE TIP WHAT YOU CAN, BUT IF NOTHING ELSE YOUR LOVE MATTERS MOST.
