CP S20 EP21 + CUT IT OR KEEP IT, VIDEOS and HOT SPINS

A pretty special week on THIS WEEK ON YOUTUBE – 15 videos and most from live sessions. Emerging act Katya Grasso, Andy Frasco and Andy Sydow kick it all off with in-studio live videos. A couple of old schoolers in the video mix with live show videos from DeVotchKa and Slim Cessna’s Auto Club.

You’d be right to ask, why Utah? Claire and I love to travel, and we love to drive. And, Utah is, well, at our back door. We live 24.75 miles east of the Utah border and the roads are wide open.

Our most recent journey, in April, took us down through New Mexico and into Big Bend National Park in south Texas, before finishing in Mesa Verde, CO. Claire hasn’t finished working on those pics quite yet… and we’re planning a June shoot …lots more pics coming.

The Grand Junction lineup of GOATZ! will be at the Bacon and Bourbon Festival in Keystone on June 27. The front range lineup will appear in Boulder in late August, before Claire and I hit the road in September. The band will land in Fort Collins in October.

AND MUCH MORE COLORADO MUSIC!

This show has been my passion for 20 years. Over the years it has been mostly self-funded, with some financial help from Starr’s Guitars and a few others here and there. It was enough to cover the cost of operations, but nothing more. Since retiring from full time work, the cost of the show has had a significant impact on my income.

The Colorado Playlist is the only program showcasing Colorado music statewide, broadcast by 12 stations covering 30 FM/LPFM frequencies. I make this show available at NO COST to community radio stations in our state. I’d like to keep it going for another couple of years.

Your support is sincerely appreciated.

Please make donations via Venmo at chrisk-2 (preferred) or use the form below (they take a cut). Thank you, sincerely – chrisk

Every year I debut approximately two hundred new current-year releases. Every week I have to make decisions about what to keep to play again and what to archive. This is where you come in.

Results enter into determining which cuts stay in the library and which cuts might eventually make it to the annual Colorado Playlist Fan & Listener Poll and the “some of the best of the year” show.

Dark skies over Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado – courtesy Clear Vistas Photography

If you haven’t guessed by now, Claire and I love to jump in the car and take off on grand adventures throughout the western United States, and particularly Colorado. Well, we’re off for another week of Rocky Mountain dark skies and (fingers crossed) some incredible fishing (for me) as we head up to Granby area. Pictures soon I’m sure.
