CP S14 EP14 2020

Monday April 13, 2020 If Easter in the traditional sense is about resurrection, I can only hope that our outdoor live music season is resurrected from all this isolation we’ve been experiencing.  That said, it was announced this past week that the long running Telluride Bluegrass Festival has been cancelled for this June as has the Pagosa Folk & Bluegrass Festival, and the Dark Sky Festival scheduled for late June in Westcliffe.

FUNDING and SUPPORT

The Colorado Playlist is fully dependent on financial support from its sponsors as well as donations from listeners.  Thank you for your contribution.

While we’re all experiencing a major loss of income and revenue, small businesses need a platform to inform listeners that you’re still open for business. In light of current economic concerns, I’d be very happy to discuss your messaging needs and how the Colorado Playlist can help.  Email me at coloradoplaylist@gmail.com

VIDEO PICK OF THE WEEK

Every once in a while an album comes along that simply says “best of the year.”  Yes, it’s April.  But Nathaniel Rateliff’s new solo album is destined to be the most popular album of the year by a Colorado artist for 2020.  Here’s his latest video.

CP S14 EP09 2020

Monday March 9, 2020 – MARCH 08 is International Women’s Day.  In honor of that, this week’s show was dedicated to and in celebration of the incredible women of Colorado music, from the 60s to today.  See YOUTUBE THIS WEEK below.

It was another weekend of emceeing … this time for the Boulder International Film Festival singer-songwriter Showcase, held at the POST in Boulder.  Several of Colorado’s top flight women appeared, including Jessica Rogalski (Mojomama), Abby Brown, Riley Ann, Finn O’Sullivan and Caroline Quine (Bitter Root).  Wendy Woo appeared at a special after party show on Friday night.

Thanks to Lisa Bell, another of our region’s top flight women in music, and her team for putting together a stellar lineup of performers.  The Thursday night show was the first for the film festival, and the 100 capacity room at the POST was packed all night.

At Bohemian Foundation, our focus is on building community …by coming together to create and enjoy music.
