The Colorado Sound – V4 EP19 2012

Where to start … ahhh … … check it out … it’s a new project launched by Colin Bricker and Erin Roberts over at Mighty Fine Productions (formerly Notably Fine Audio).  “Audiovore is an online platform dedicated to the documentation and promotion of Colorado’s music and arts scene through the production of high quality audio and video content.”

Erin Roberts was in the band Porlolo and was at one time the executive director/general manager of KBUT in Crested Butte.  Colin we all know from his incredible work over the years in sound, recording, and with his collaborations with Andy Monley.    What they’re doing with this Audiovore thing is very cool … please do go check it out and support.

Here’s a video from their site.

Also, I updated the Colorado Sound video channel today … it includes what used to be rare footage of Zephyr back in teh day when Tommy was still on guitar … for those too young to know .. and those old enough to have been there 😉 … it’s cool footage.

Here’s this week’s playlist – V4 EP19 2012

I led off the show this week with a cut from Beast, circa 1969 – a band that featured Bob Yeazel (guitar) who later went on to Sugarloaf, and Kenny Passarelli (bass) who went on to considerable success as a bass player for the likes of Joe Walsh and Elton John, and as well an excellent producer who’s turned out great records by both Otis Taylor and Eddie Turner here in CO — as well as others.
