Happy Monday. With the political world in turmoil, and rookie QB Paxton Lynch taking a tumble, or two … or six … let’s turn our attention to this week’s new music on the Colorado Playlist.
One big change this week. I’ve changed how the MMMM (Monday Morning Music Meeting) works. See below. I think it will give us a better indication of which songs you think we should KEEP or NOT KEEP in the Playlist.
Thanks to Grim&Darling for the radio premiere of their new single Rather Not, which is also the Video Pick of the Week.
I realize this has nothing to do with music or musicians here in Colorado (other than GOATZ! playing this event), but this is an important organization in my life.
Last winter, during Mrs Goat’s final days, I promised that her (our) daughter would always have a forever Dad. Our daughter was 40 years old at the time of the adoption — and adopting an adult child of that age is not something that you see every day, by the admission of the judge who finalized the adoption.
Adoption Dreams executive director Cindy Sarai and her staff came to the rescue and expedited our adoption, which was completed four days before my wife passed away. I’m honored to have been asked to be the Master of Ceremonies at this year’s fundraiser. I hope to see many friends at this event. Click on picture for more details.

VIDEO PICK OF THE WEEK
MONDAY MORNING MUSIC MEETING
I conceived of this idea as a way for you to discover some of the new music I played on the show, and to give you the chance to let me know which of the tracks you like, and think I should keep in rotation. I get a lot of feedback from fans about what’s liked .. and what isn’t.
In order to be included in the MMMM poll, the band/artist must have an embeddable file available on SoundCloud, BandCamp (my favorite), Reverbnation or YouTube.
It’s not a competition. It’s just a gauge of how well you like the songs I added this week.

New record, If the Static Clears, out now!
*”Gabrielle Louise is eclectic, eccentric, seductive, flexible, literate and a plethora of other descriptive adjectives that pertain to music and creativity and yet there is no pinning down this woman, no way to sum her up in one word. She manages to blend seemingly disparate styles of music and lyrics into a captivating blend…a homogenous mix of folk, bluegrass, and jazz…Her voice is going to make time stand still in that it is full, rich and has great nuance in it…A beautifully crafted disc in every possible way.”** –NO DEPRESSION /Bob Gottlieb*
