Quick poll .. in the spirit of the election season … recently I changed the MMMM so that you can vote YES – KEEP IT or NO – DO NOT KEEP on each new shared track. Should I keep doing it?
Keep your fingers crossed. Looks like we may be adding a new station for the show in a major ski resort area. (is there an emoji for that?)
We’re now in the final week for new entries for 2016. November 1 officially marks the start of the 2017 release season. Be watching for your chance to help me select the Best of 2016.
I’m not a big fan of late night shows in general, and am even less thrilled when headliners don’t go on until 10PM on a Sunday night. Such was the case last night (Sunday) when my son and I attempted to see two shows – where the headliners did not hit the stage until 9:45 and 10PM respectively.
Since both of us are working men, and my son had to be at work at 6AM, we both realized that if we didn’t get home by 10:30 or 11PM at the latest, we’d have short sleep cycles. As a result, we missed one headliner completely, and only caught two songs of the other before needing to head home.
To those who have the wherewithal to stay out late on a Sunday night – good on you. But wouldn’t it make more sense to actually start shows closer to 8PM, with headliners on by 9PM so that working stiffs can be out by 10PM? Or am I, and my son, just too old for school now? 😦 if true…. especially since we are both musicians with bands that play out. But case being what it is I overslept the alarm by over 2 hours this morning. <smh>

IN COLORADO MUSIC HISTORY
VIDEO PICK OF THE WEEK
MONDAY MORNING MUSIC MEETING
I conceived of this idea as a way for you to discover some of the new music I played on the show, and to give you the chance to let me know which of the tracks you like, and think I should keep in rotation. I get a lot of feedback from fans about what’s liked .. and what isn’t.
In order to be included in the MMMM poll, the band/artist must have an embeddable file available on SoundCloud, BandCamp (my favorite), Reverbnation or YouTube.
It’s not a competition. It’s just a gauge of how well you like the songs I added this week.
