Monday NOV 22, 2021 – Happy Thanksgiving (yeah, I’m a few days early). Enjoy the time with your family and friends. Personally, I’m thankful for my incredible partner in life, my children, COLORADO music and radio, and YOU! Thank you for listening to the show and reading the Monday Morning Music Meeting (MMMM).
BIG changes in the TOP 5 weekly spins this week. Yes, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats and the Lumineers are still dominant; while the Velveteers dropped down to #10, replaced by LOS MOCOCHETES, with Colorado jamband MAGIC BEANS filling in the #5 position this week.
I don’t usually debut (D) a release that is over a year old, but the album “The Offering” from Southern Colorado Americana country-folk singer-songwriter Xanthe Alexis struck a nerve with me this past couple of weeks and I wanted to share it. The album was originally released in August 2020 to tremendous praise from Americana reviewers around the country and for good reason. Check out the single The Offering below. Let me know what you think.
