MONDAY NOV 14, 2022 The Colorado Playlist relies on donations to pay the cost of operation. The stations do not pay for the show.

Launched in April 2006, The Colorado Playlist is broadcast over 25 hours a week on approximately thirty FM frequencies in Colorado.  Streamed world-wide and archived weekly, the Colorado Playlist is the most widely heard independent music program in the state.

Your donation would go a long way to helping defray the costs. – Thanks! – Chris K. Venmo chrisk-2 or use this form.

Rendezvous Park – Winter Park – Sat Aug 13 2022

AUG 15 2022 – It was a fun and fulfilling day in the rain in Winter Park on Saturday. I mc’d the Stellas Gives Back to Grand County Search and Rescue benefit. The show featured Tara Rose, Andy Sydow and Slopeside. It poured for most of the event. The only act able to complete a full set was Andy Sydow and his band.

Other than Tara Rose, I’ve known members of Slopeside for over twenty years, and Andy Sydow for eight or nine. If nothing else, it was really great getting reacquainted and caught up on life and music.

Not a lot of people showed up, given the weather conditions. Those who did huddle under whatever rain protection there was were treated to some major league Colorado musician perseverance. All who took the stage showed the scant audience the range and quality of what our scene is all about. Much love to everyone! It really was a special kinda day. I was really honored to be a part of it.

CP S16 EP23 2022

Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve

July 4, 2022 – Happy JULY 4th! We rolled in yesterday, just in time for me to compile this past week’s TOP 5 Colorado music spins. I’ll post up the June TOP 30 tomorrow.

Well, here I thought the Lumineers would drop off the TOP 5 for the week – but noooooo … they reappeared. Wouldn’t be surprised if they hang around another month or two. In the meantime, Alysia Kraft takes #1 away from Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats .. and Ryan Chrys & the Roughcuts move up to #3.

Don’t forget – your feedback in the MMMM below goes a long way to keeping songs in my rotation, and in what gets nominated for BEST of 2022 .. so please vote.
