CP S13 EP43 2019

MMMM = Taylor Scott Band, Lucy Daydream, Whitacre, Wounded Bird.

MONDAY NOV 04, 2019 – There are not a lot of ways to gauge the popularity of records that come from the Centennial State. One way is to look at the spins on Spotify and YouTube as well as other streaming sources (those being the top two). But when it comes to radio airplay, there is only one source.  Roots Music Report is the only online source there is (that I’m aware of) that offers a chart of what’s being played on radio statewide today, based on playlists generated by member stations and programs such as the Colorado Playlist.

According to Roots Music Report the current TOP 5 Colorado albums are:

      1. The LumineersIII
      2. Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats Tearing at the Seams
      3. Taylor Scott BandAll We Have
      4. Kerry Pastine & the Crime SceneCity of Love
      5. Jeff Scroggins and Colorado Over the Line

At Bohemian Foundation, our focus is on building community …by coming together to create and enjoy music.

Daniel  Rodriquez Seems like every year, or two, we get a new song either called Colorado, or is expressly and explicitly about Colorado – where the name itself is sung prominently and proudly.

MONDAY Oct. 28 2019 – A reminder this week of day/time change for the show on 105.5 The Colorado Sound (KJAC).  The show has moved from Sundays at 10AM and 10PM to Saturdays 6AM-8AM.

Speaking of KJAC – if you missed one of the past two week’s of shows, you can stream it here.  You can also stream the show in real time wherever the show is aired. See the stations and times page for that info.

Unbeknownst to over 99% of us, there is an in-state chart, based on what several non-commercial public / community radio station djs are spinning weekly.  It can be located at rootsmusicreport.com/charts/view/album/state/colorado/weekly.  The chart updates every Monday morning.   The Lumineers, Kerry Pastine & the Crime Scene and the Taylor Scott Band hold the top three positions this week.

Happy birthday to Colorado native Kenny Passarelli, who co-wrote the hit “Rocky Mountain Way” with Joe Walsh and who went on to play bass and tour with some of rock’s biggest names, including Elton John, Dan Fogelberg, Stephen Stills and Hall & Oates.  Courtesy of Colorado Music Experience.
