Man, what a fun day I had Sunday. Happy Mothers Day. My living room was turned into a tv show set and I was interviewed as a part of a new documentary being filmed about Colorado music called Sounds Like Colorado – a film by Caryn Sanchez.
I really don’t know much about the film other than it’s the “larger story of what it takes to create a life and career in music today, and how the community helps it thrive.” I also don’t know when it will be completed or where it will air LOL .. stay tuned – they plan on interviewing me in my home a couple more times before it’s done.
Thanks to Caryn and the crew from AdSortium Media
I got to debut the new single from Angie Stevens and Gregory Alan Isakov this week .. and as I wrote a couple of weeks ago, “Sweet Emily, is destined to be a “hit” with each artists’ fanbase…. It’s definitely one of the most worthy duets in Colorado music, in my memory, delivered as poignantly as only two friends might achieve together.” Unfortunately, I don’t have rights to share this with you in the Monday Morning Music Meeting this week … fingers crossed it will be available for next week’s post.

VIDEO PICK OF THE WEEK
New music / new video from Fort Collins’ Arliss Nancy. It’s been a while since we heard anything new from them. New album, Great Divides, due out May 13.
MONDAY MORNING MUSIC MEETING
I conceived of this idea a way for you to discover some of the new music I played on the show, and to give you the chance to let me know which of the tracks you like, and think I should keep in rotation.
If artists/bands rally their troops to vote for them, it undermines the intent of what I had hoped to achieve. I appreciate the site traffic but not at the expense of hearing what the show listeners really do like – or not. So while I encourage sharing, please remember the intent of this poll.
What you’ll find below are new songs debuted on the show this week … listen to them again (or for the first time) and let me know which ones you think I should keep in the Colorado Playlist.
NOTE: In order to be included in the MMMM poll, the band/artist must have an embeddable file available on SoundCloud, BandCamp (my favorite), Reverbnation, or YouTube.
Neither Angie Stevens nor Cary Morin had files available this week to share. I provided a link to the song on Cary’s website for you to listen to.
