The new Washington’s in Fort Collins is for real, as any of us who have known Bohemian over the years might expect. It defines sumptuous in music venues in Colorado, and reasonably speaking perhaps nationwide.
Add in the recent opening of the new musically focused Elizabeth Hotel, and the Magic Rat music room and Fort Collins now sets the standard in the region … and again perhaps nationally … with Bohemian’s Music District as a core piece of the long held vision by Pat Stryker to turn Fort Collins into a world class music city.
Full disclosure in order: I do contract work for Bohemian, and I’ve counted Pat as a valued personal friend for many years. Many other close personal friends of mine also work for Bohemian entities.
Visiting the respective websites and going to these places yourself will do far more than any accolades I toss out there … just go do it. You’ll be really impressed, if not totally blown away.
PS … also check out the Armory … the original Bohemian music room in Fort Collins – again, a sumptuous national level music room for 250 people.
David Givens from legendary Colorado band Zephyr dropped this on FB this weekend. “Candy Givens was a one of kind, pioneer female singer/musician who led the popular Colorado rock band, ZEPHYR, from 1969-1984. This track is a remix of “Love Comes Running” from the album HEARTBEAT originally released in 1981.”
I’m truly looking forward to playing the remix of HEARTBEAT on the show.
