CO PLAYLIST – S12 EP06 2018

I don’t often share an older cut in the weekly MMMM (Monday Morning Music Meeting).  This week, I “found” YouTube audio of “Move On” from Opie Gone Bad, who were one of the top local acts in the region for over a decade.  So I included it.

This week’s Video of the Week is included in the MMMM as a new cut for you to vote on.

FY5 has been and is one of my favorite new-acoustic-bluegrass acts since they emerged on the scene over a decade ago, after the Youngbergs (Aaron & Erin) and Finders (Mike & Amy) met in Iowa, and the Finders (pronounced Finnders)  moved to Northern Colorado.  That meeting formed the basis for Finders & Youngberg, which evolved into FY5 with the addition of outstanding fiddle player Ryan Drickey and mandolinist Rich Zimmerman.

Their new album, The Way These Things Go showcases some of the most vibrant songwriting and ensemble performances in the genre in our area, and the impeccable production by Aaron “AA” Youngberg makes it one of the most enjoyable road trip additions in the car this year.

  1. Great show as always. Love the Colorado music history and all the great CO artists! I do a show here in Telluride on KOTO every other Friday night 7-9p. The Luke Floyd Radio Hour. Need to get that Porlolo song- Wasting Time! Awesome tune. We’re doing a “Women Who Rock” feature for our bi-annual fundraising and that song will fit nicely. Did not see on I-tunes. Help me find it please. 🙂
    Thanks so much,
