CP S12 EP12 2018

This coming Friday, April 6, will mark the 12th anniversary of the Colorado Playlist.  The show originated at 88.9FM KRFC and is now heard statewide across 24FM frequencies.  I am currently working on adding #25.

Thanks especially to Oskar Blues and the Mishawaka Amphitheatre for supporting the show.  Congrats to the new Oskar Blues location, the Black Buzzard, for picking up honors as Best New Venue in Denver.  The venue also picked up props for being the best place to catch some mid-week comedy.

A friend turned me onto something cool last week –  The Tumbleweed Records Story 1971-1973 … The compilation came out in 2017.  Tumbleweed Records is an important part of our Colorado music heritage and history.  The story can be found here.  I’ve included a couple of cuts in this week’s show.

I got an advance copy of the new Leftover Salmon album, Something Higher! last week.  Expect it to be a featured album the next several weeks.  There’s plenty of “wow, I didn’t expect that” on the record to enjoy – thanks to producer Steve Berlin and the band’s unrelenting desire to expand their sound.  The album drops on May 4 with a special show at E-Town Hall.

MONDAY MORNING
MUSIC MEETING

What you’ll find below are new songs on the show this week … listen  and let me know which ones you think I should keep in the Colorado Playlist, and which I should delete.

NOTE:  In order to be included in the MMMM poll, the band/artist must have an embeddable file available on SoundCloudBandCampReverbnation or YouTube.
