FEB 02 2021 – It was a great month for new Colorado music at non-commercial community/public and college radio around the state. Eleven titles debuted, and nine titles stayed in the top thirty for another month. Of course, Nathaniel Rateliff‘s It’s Still Alright stayed in there, as did Dockside Saints from Cary Morin which jumps up to #1.
Most added for January goes to BUD BRONSON & THE GOOD TIMERS – Manifest Destiny debuting at #2. Propelled by the single “Life Is A Highway (To Hell)” (links to Spotify) both 105.5 The Colorado Sound and Indie 102.3 gave it significant love for the month. It’s a good old school solid rocker, with blazing guitar playing.
Caitlin Cannon‘s TrashCannonAlbum makes a rather surprising return appearance at the top of the charts after being off for several months, landing at #3. It’s one of the “best of” Americana-country albums from 2020.

If you’re missing going out to see live music, you’re not alone. There is live music taking place, however. It’s just not at any of the major venues like the Levitt Pavilion, Red Rocks or the Mission Ballroom. It’s at small places with 20 to 50 people spaced out 6 to 10 feet apart. When will see elbow to elbow audiences? Probably not this year according to several sources I’ve spoken with in the industry.
