CP S20 EP25 2026 + CUT IT or KEEP IT + THIS WEEK ON YOUTUBE

AIRDATES: JULY 04-10 2026 – This Week On Youtube = Live videos from the Wood Brothers, The Still Tide, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Megan Burtt, Widespread Panic, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Paul McCartney & Wings, the String Cheese Incident and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

North Clear Creek Falls, Rio Grande Nat’l Forest

Due to the JULY 4th holiday, there is NO HOT SPINS this week. And there may not be one next week. Claire and I are going on a photo/fishing trip up to the Walden area .. so we’ll see what we see. It’s been a minute or decade or two since I’ve traveled up that way in the state. Have a great week and enjoy the show.

I did something a bit different this week, as I celebrated 50 years since the year Colorado became known as the Centennial State and the Colorado Music Hall of Fame inducted of a NON-Colorado band, but one that owns an historical record in Colorado music history.

This show has been my passion for 20 years. Over the years it has been mostly self-funded, with some financial help from Starr’s Guitars and a few others here and there. It was enough to cover the cost of operations, but nothing more. Since retiring from full time work, the cost of the show has had a significant impact on my income.

The Colorado Playlist is the only program showcasing Colorado music statewide, broadcast by 12 stations covering 30 FM/LPFM frequencies. I make this show available at NO COST to community radio stations in our state. I’d like to keep it going for another couple of years.

Please make donations via Venmo at chrisk-2 (preferred) or use the form below (they take a cut). Thank you, sincerely – chrisk

Every year I debut approximately two hundred new current-year releases. Every week I have to make decisions about what to keep to play again and what to archive. This is where you come in.

Should I KEEP IT or CUT IT?

Results enter into determining which cuts stay in the library and which cuts might eventually make it to the annual Colorado Playlist Fan & Listener Poll and the “some of the best of the year” show.
