Okay … this is late.  It’s June… the festival season has started and my calendar is PACKED!  So if I’m late or if a new show is not done each week you’ll know why.  Not much on my end to report really… the Colorado Sound Live365 could use your help. We had a great 1st month, but May’s listens fell by over 50% … so would love to see that you’re listening.  The blog broke a record for unique views in a month with over 2000 for May.  So while the blog readership went up, the station listens went down … weird.  Here’s the link to the station – The Colorado Sound Live365 

OpenAir 1340 has started a new program on CPR News (90.1 FM in Denver, cpr.org) called the Best of Mile High Noon. It’s an hour long show featuring all Colorado music, basically condensing a week’s worth of Mile High Noon (weekdays at noon on OpenAir) segments into a full hour. Runs Thursdays at 9 pm and repeats Sundays at 6 pm. Very exciting opportunity for OpenAir to bring Colorado music to the FM dial.

KGNU’s 25th Annual “Charles Sawtelle Mountain Jam” will be held in the side yard of the Gold Hill Inn on Sunday, July 21st, 11am-4:30 pm Mollie O’Brien and the Hamkickers will headline, with Giddy Up Kitty and Finnders and Youngberg rounding out the bill. There will be Texas-style BBQ, salads, corn on the cob, microbrews and Mead available for purchase. More information online at http://www.kgnu.org

KDNK news team won the regional Edward R Murrow award for a report that they did on a local crime issue and they are finalists for the national award. Eric Skalac and Ed Williams are our team. Kat Rich, our Events Coordinator has moved on to greener pastures.
