Monday NOV 09 2020 – Monday morning coffee = the election is over.  COVID isn’t.  Winter is setting in; so are we.  That means fewer shows and more time streaming.

I added a new feature to the show this week = Middleclass Rockstar, hosted by  Andy Sydow.  Every week or so, I’ll feature a 7 to 8 min long excerpt of an hour plus long conversation Andy has with some of our scene’s top music makers and industry persons.

NOVEMBER ARTIST TO WATCH FOR – DAFNA … Dafna has amassed over 400,000 spins on Spotify alone.  A 20 year old CU Boulder student, she  has also collaborated with several other artists, making waves in the EDM scene with Covex (Taste of Love, Jealous) and Mielo (Lonely Game)    She has 1400 followers on YouTube. The official lyric video for let you go has just shy of 14,000 plays.  As of November 9th,the same song has 195,000 Spotify spins, while Valentine has 281,000 spins.

Rocky Mountain Music Relief was founded in 2017 to help musicians and music industry personnel in times of environmental and financial crisis; exactly where we find ourselves today.

As a self-employed member of our music community in Colorado I know the trepidation we’re dealing with personally. Of course, none of us ever figured we’d be here, in this place. No one could have ever imagined this scenario.

If you’re a fan, and you can help, please do.  Every $15 donation receives a #COmusic mask.

If you are a professional musician or music industry person in Colorado and you’ve lost your income due to COVID or any of the fires in Colorado, Rocky Mountain Music Relief would like to help.

We are a small non-profit. Our board of directors is made up of Colorado musicians, music industry personnel and music patrons who care. We have limited funds, but we’d like to help as best we can.

Aid qualification: you must have been gainfully employed in the music industry in Colorado in some capacity either as a musician or in production and lost your job and income as a result of COVID or the fires.

Monday OCT 26 2020 – If only this were really the end of 2020.  In roughly eight weeks I will post up “Some of the Best of 2020.”  The 2021 new release year begins mid-November, in order to allow time for end of year polls.

Next week I’ll be posting up the TOP 30 most played titles for October at over a dozen CO radio stations.  As way of review see what made the TOP 30 in September. 

This is also the season for fall membership drives at non-commercial public radio around the region.  Please contribute as you’re able.  Approximately 90% of the operating revenue at public radio comes from listener members.
