MONDAY SEPT 30 — THERE IS NO MONDAY MORNING MUSIC MEETING THIS WEEK – turns out two of the three new releases this week are not yet available on YouTube. Neither has been officially released yet, so please listen to HOUR 2 of the show if you’d like to hear them.

(N) Chris Daniels & the Kings rerecorded Sonny Landreth‘s “Congo Square” for their 40th Anniversary release, shared in HOUR 1.

(D) Claire Heywood has been a regular on the show over the past four years. She’s already got one song from her upcoming new album in active rotation on 105.5 the Colorado Sound and on the Colorado Playlist.

(D) piKziL is Liza Oxnard and Kip Kuepper – a conversation with Liza a few weeks ago, catching up on life, prompted the premier of a new single from them this week on the show.

Speaking of YouTube – I include several available videos in THIS WEEK ON YOUTUBE. If you’re an artist with a new video or you know of a new video I should include, let me know. Email coloradoplaylist@gmail.com. You can also check out over thirteen years of archived weekly and monthly collections at Chris K’s Colorado Playlist.

August 7, 2023 – August kicks off with a festival I’ve been the entertainment director of since launching it seventeen years ago, the Dacono Music & Spirits Festival. And, after seventeen years it takes longer to recover from a day spent in the elements managing the show. UGH. But, today is Monday and here’s what’s up…

Beginning AUG 27, the Colorado Playlist will be aired statewide Sunday nights at 7:00 PM on 91.5 KUNC. That adds another fifteen markets that the show will be aired in, bringing the total up to forty-five frequencies statewide. See stations and times page for details.

Have you checked out the resources pages? Or the music calendar page?

Please consider supporting. Venmo chrisk-2 or use the donation form below.

Live Music Colorado featuring  LiveMusicMegaSearch™

CP S15:EP50 2021

Sunset along Pueblo’s Riverwalk Summer 2021

Monday DEC 13, 2021 – We’re less than three weeks away from the end of 2021 and the Best Of the year show and year end charts. I guess it doesn’t take a brain scientist to figure out that Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats album The Future will be the number one album. They are, after all, the most popular band in recent memory. BUT – will Colorado Playlist listener and band fans pick them as #1?

This week’s TOP 5 finds Cortez, Colorado folk duo Maddy & Kev landing at #3 with Animal Electricity dropping into the 4th position and Claire Heywood lands back in the TOP 5.

MMMM this week features new music from the Jackson Cloud Odyssey, Corey Harris and Our Violet Room. The last time I caught Jackson Cloud live he was fronting a classic blues-rock band – but that was a few years ago now. His new album is full blown prog-rock/psychedelia than anything he’s known for live.

Corey Harris is a native Colorado musician who moved away after high school many decades ago. His new album is currently charting TOP 3 in the TOP 50 Colorado Album Chart at Roots Music Report.

Our Violet Room is a new project by Denver via Los Angeles singer-songwriter Matthew Birch. The new single also features Emma Cole from Wildermiss.
