CP S12 EP32 2018

New music this week from Grayson Erhard, Lauren Brombert, Gregory Alan Isakov, Taylor Shae and Rubedo.

With this being August, and September only a few days away, I realize we’re all busy with family, vacations and just out and away from our computers.  August is traditionally the slowest month of the year for this site.  Don’t forget to let me know if you’d like me to KEEP or DELETE the new music in the playlist for future shows.

You might also want to start letting me know what your favorites of 2018 are 😉 j/s …

At Bohemian Foundation, our focus is on building community …by coming together to create and enjoy music.

MISHAWAKA MISH’N BOOSTER OFFERS $7300 IN FUNDING FOR ORGANIZATIONS

BELLVUE, Colo., August 27, 2018 — Mishawaka Amphitheatre will offer $7300 in direct sponsorship dollars to organizations, as well as silent auction and event venue space, as a part of the Mish Initiative philanthropic program.

The Mish’n Booster award application review period will open September 1, with funding available to organizations that align with Mish company values: music, community, integrity, sustainability, and tolerance.

Applications for the fall funding round will be accepted and reviewed through October 1.  15 applicants were funded a total of $7700 in the spring Mish’n Booster funding round earlier in 2018.

“As business owners with big dreams, we understand how difficult it can be to gain traction with a passion project,” said Dani Grant, Mishawaka Amphitheatre owner and general manager. “Our Mish’n Booster program allows us to help other organizations achieve their visions, by giving them both direct and indirect funding opportunities, and sometimes just the space needed to celebrate and increase the momentum.”

Mish’n Booster applicants are able to request direct funding and silent auction donations year-round, and nonprofit organizations can apply for space to host events in the SpokesBUZZ Lounge — Mishawaka’s indoor dance hall and stage — from October through April each year.

The current list of 2018 Mish’n Booster beneficiaries can be found at: http://www.themishawaka.com/mish-granted/2018-mishn-booster-recipients/

Next, Mishawaka philanthropy will turn toward providing funding for artist development, through the venue’s Mish Granted program. Applications for artists will be accepted starting in October, with a total of $15,000 available during the fall application period.

COLORADO PLAYLIST NEWS

  • 88.9FM KRFC Fort Collins has moved the show from Saturday night at 8PM to Thursday mornings from 6-8AM.
  • KSUT Ignacio/Durango has added HR1 of the show and moved the time from 7PM Saturday nights to 10PM-12AM Saturday nights

VIDEO PICK OF THE WEEK

Matt Hoffman has a dual identity.  When I first met Mat 16 years ago he was the drummer in a Fort Collins based rock band that I booked a few times.  Then about 6 years ago he re-emerged in a band called Strange Americans, that he formed with Trent Nelson.  Then a couple of years ago he sent me something under the moniker New Mexican — The new album, called “Take It On Our Shoulders” is due for release on Sept 28 … I’ll be premiering cuts from the album over the next few weeks.

MONDAY MORNING MUSIC MEETING

What you’ll find below are new songs on the show this week … listen  and let me know which ones you think I should keep in the Colorado Playlist, and which I should delete.

NOTE:  In order to be included in the MMMM poll, the band/artist must have an embeddable file on Soundcloud, BandCamp, Reverbnation or YouTube.
