Monday April 12, 2021 – BIG shakeup in this week’s TOP 5. There’s only one standing from last week. A.J. Fullerton continues to dominate spins at stations around the state, while Valdez (In the Whale) leaps into the #2 spot on the strength of airplay at Indie 102.3 and 105.5 The Colorado Sound.

John Grant gets an * because technically he’s no longer a resident Colorado artist. The former member of the Denver based band the Czars, who has family in Denver, moved to Iceland several few years ago. But music directors and djs statewide still credit him as a Colorado artist (or at least Colorado connected).

Fullerton now owns the top spot across the state, and among Colorado releases at RootsMusicReport.com. I would expect the TOP 5 to look different next week when Indie 102.3 stops featuring Lady Gang and Ellsworth.

Last minute note: KRZA (Alamosa) is now airing both hours of the Colorado Playlist, from 2 to 4 pm on Monday.
